Focused primarily in the Almaden Valley region of San Jose, the Almaden Valley Youth Soccer League (AVYSL) provides a breadth of youth soccer programs for girls and boys.  The mission of the league is to foster healthful recreation and responsible social interaction through the sport of soccer.  The league also supports the training and certification of coaches and referees.  AVYSL is a non-profit organization affiliated with the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA), District II.

Enrich your international cultural experience by hosting a visiting coach from other countries. The UK Soccer  and the North America Soccer Camps invite all AVYSL families to participate in this unique program. Parents with children playing in AVYSL where trainers are actively coaching typically host visiting coaches from other countries. Over the years the ‘Host A Coach’ program has been hugely successful. For more information please click here. 

New competitive teams are now open for tryouts.

The recently formed Almaden Real BU15 Class 1 team is actively looking for experienced competitive players. With a professional soccer player Thomas Silvas as the team’s coach, they are looking to make an impression at the Norcal games in Spring. If your birthdate is from 8/1/95 to 7/31/96 stop at the team’s ongoing practice at the Pioneer High School field. Contact the coach at  408-355-3122 for the practice time and days. 

 The new GU14 Class 3 girls team for the upcoming 2010 season is still forming.  If you are born from 8/1/96 through 7/31/97 or younger and love to play soccer, stop by and tryout. Contact Tim Jordan (timjor@yahoo.com) to inquire about practicing with the team.
